The first reply is the one that decides. Somebody asks four businesses for a quote on a Thursday afternoon. One of them answers within the minute, even to say “thanks, we have got this, someone will call you tomorrow morning”. By the time the other three get round to it, there is already a business in the running and three businesses catching up.
Nobody loses that race on purpose. They lose it because a person has to notice the enquiry, and people are busy, and Thursday afternoon is Thursday afternoon.
One decision, made once
An automation in Velora is an email that sends itself. You set it up once and every enquiry after that gets it, on time, without anyone having to remember.
Start a new one and give it a name. A welcome email is the one every business should have: the reply that goes out the minute someone asks.
Pick what sets it off
Then the trigger, and there are two worth knowing.
When a lead registers. The moment an enquiry lands from your site, from an advert or from a form. This is the welcome email, and it is the one that wins the race above.
When you move a lead to a status. Say Qualified, or Won. This is how a “thanks for choosing us” email sends itself the moment you mark the work as won, and how a follow up goes out when you qualify somebody, without either of them being a thing you have to remember to do while you are on site.
Only approved emails can be used
The template list here is short on purpose. Only approved templates appear: the ones you have sent to yourself and actually looked at in a real inbox.
That is the guard that matters. An automation runs for months without anyone watching it, so the one thing you cannot have is a half finished draft going out to every enquiry for six weeks. Velora will not let you point an automation at an email you have not checked.
Create it, and it is live
From that moment every new enquiry gets that email as it lands, in your brand, with your links. You will see it on each lead's activity trail, so the record shows what was sent and when, and the next person to phone that lead knows what they have already been told.
Pause it or change the template any time. It is one decision, made once, and kept.
The video at the top of this post is an automation being built, start to finish, with nothing cut out.
