One library, and it files itself

Upload a photograph and Velora describes it and files it. Every tile says where it is used, and any photo becomes a branded advert card in one click.

Ask a business for a photograph of their workshop and you will get a WhatsApp forward of a screenshot of a photograph. The original is on somebody's old phone. The good one is in an email from the photographer in 2019. The one currently on the website is nobody's favourite and nobody can remember where it came from.

Pictures are the part of a business's online life that goes feral fastest, and it is the part every other part depends on.

One place, and everything draws from it

The library in Velora holds every photograph, logo, video and document in one place. Your site, your emails, your blog and your adverts all pick from here. A picture lives once and gets used everywhere, so replacing the bad workshop photo replaces it everywhere at the same time.

The filters say what a picture is:

  • The space: the workshop, the yard, the building.
  • People and moments: the team, and work happening.
  • Products and services.
  • And logos.

Every tile says where it is being used

This is the small thing that saves the big mistake.

Each picture carries chips showing where it appears: on the live site, in a draft, in an email. You know before you rename it, change it or delete it. Nobody has to find out from a customer that the homepage has a grey box on it.

Upload it, and Velora does the filing

Drop a photograph in and it gets looked at. Velora writes down what the picture actually shows and files it under the right category on its own.

That is not tidiness for its own sake. The assistants that write your emails, your posts and your site sections choose pictures by what they show, not by what the file is called. A library full of IMG_4471.jpg is a library the assistants cannot use. A library where every picture has a description written from the picture is one where asking for a section about your workshop gets you a photograph of your workshop.

Both the description and the category are yours to change. Open a picture to rename it, fix the description, move it to another category, or copy its address for use somewhere else. Changes save as you go.

And any photograph becomes an advert

From any picture in the library, a branded card: your logo, your colours, your words, sized for Facebook, in one click. Say what it should read and make it.

The card lands back in the library next to the photograph it came from, ready for a post or an advert. So the gap between having a good photo of a job you finished and having something worth posting is about a minute, which is roughly the amount of time that gap can survive.

The video at the top of this post is the library, an upload and a card, start to finish, with nothing cut out.
